Catshill Methodist Church aims to be a strong, loving Christian presence in our community as we Worship God, Welcome everyone, Serve the Community:
• Worship God, know Jesus and be witnesses of God’s love and grace by the power of the Holy Spirit
• Welcome everyone, encouraging and nurturing the faith of all
• Serve the community of Catshill and beyond.
We have an Eco Church Silver Award and taking further steps towards the Gold Award. We are registered as a Sight Loss Friendly Church and have sensory toys available for children. We are committed to being an Inclusive Church and welcome enquiries about same sex marriage.
We are a worshipping community of about 60 people - although our average congregation on a Sunday morning is about 30-35. In the congregation, we have single people, people with partners, and married couples plus some families with younger children. Our worship style is varied, depending on the type of service being held and the worship leader. We have an all-age service and Holy Communion at least once a month. Our chairs are set out in a cabaret style around circular coffee tables. Once a month we serve coffee during the service (café style worship) and once a month the mission band plays for the service. At other times we are accompanied by the organ or piano. Bring your own style to worship and help us try different ways of encountering God.
