Reverend Anne Smith

Born in Loveday Street Hospital, Birmingham but brought up in Netherton, Dudley Anne is a Black Country girl!
She attended Dudley Girls' High Scholl before training as a teacher at Southlands College, Wimbledon. Having met her first husband Paul while at College they lived in Leatherhead, Surrey for 15 years. They had two boys, John and David.
Having candidated for the ministry Anne trained at Wesley College, Bristol before being stationed in Elland, West Yorkshire. It was there that Paul died. Anne served there for eight years and left saying she would never serve that long again. She didn't! She served 14 years in Worcester where she was Superintendent. She also had the privilege of welcoming 4 probationers to the Circuit.
It was while in Worcester that she married Jim, a local preacher and they came to Catshill in 2014.
