Corona virus: guidance to churches

UPDATED GUIDANCE FROM THE METHODIST CHURCH AS OF FRIDAY 20TH MARCH.

Please visit https://www.methodist.org.uk/about-us/coronavirus-guidance/

THE HEADLINE: ALL NORMAL SERVICES OF WORSHIP, BE THEY SUNDAY OR MIDWEEK, WILL NOT BE TAKING PLACE IN METHODIST CHURCHES UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

We will be seeking to provide news at a later date as to whether on not churches might be open at times for personal prayer, whilst following stringent hygiene measures to limit the risk of the spread of the virus.

We will as the ministry team and churches also be meeting (via video conferencing) to discuss how we might still find creative ways to facilitate:
– Worship and Prayer
– Fellowship
– Pastoral Care
– Meetings/decision making whilst not physically meeting.
– Outreach to the community at this time.

A letter detailing progress in this regard will appear on this site and be sent to churches on Saturday 21st March.

So please keep popping back to this website and/or look out for communications from individual churches.

Every Blessing
Rev Stephen Levett
