St Andrews Worship for Sunday 3rd January 2021 – online only
WORSHIP and FELLOWSHIP for SUNDAY 3RD JANUARY 2021
For the congregations of Bromsgrove, St Andrews and Alcester Methodist Churches
PLEASE NOTE: WORSHIP WILL COMMENCE AT THE SLIGHTLY EARLIER THAN NORMAL TIME OF 10.30AM
When the preaching plan was originally organised for January to February it was hoped that we would be able to physically gather for services safely. However, since then Covid cases have risen again, most of our churches are in areas that have risen up the Coronavirus alerts Tier levels, and the majority of churches have decided it is not currently wise to gather on site. More communication will follow in terms of where this leaves us for services for January 10th onwards.
There was always going to be a challenge for Sunday 3rd January given a lack of available preachers. Rev Steve Levett hoped to lead from home and invite people from the churches in his section to join him for a service by Zoom. On reflection the plan has been slightly revised to the following, in two parts.
PART ONE: SERVICE
People are encouraged to join in the BIRINGHAM DISTRICT SERVICE for Sunday 3rd January at 10.30am. This will be an Annual Covenant Service.
The Service can be accessed either via the District Website which has a link to the service (and also an accompanying downloadable service sheet) or directly from the District Facebook page
NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED A FACEBOOK ACCOUNT TO ACCESS THE SERVICE.
The service is also now available on YouTube.

Comments will be disabled on YouTube so if you would prefer a comment free experience then it may suit you better.
(Note: There is still a shorter pre-recorded service available on the Circuit YouTube channel for Sunday 3rd January, on this occasion led by Deacon Janet Thomas. In addition there is the printed service sheet for available for use at home for those who are unable or prefer not to go online.)
PART 2: FELLOWSHIP
Following the service you are invited to join Steve and others by Zoom for some reflection on the service, general chat, and a cuppa (Note: you need to bring your own refreshments!). This will be via Zoom. This will commence around 11.30am or as soon as possible after the service finishes if it happens to go past that time.
For safeguarding reasons we are advised not to publicly advertise Zoom meeting details. If you would like the meeting number and password please contact Rev Steve Levett via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
